AniGen processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Finnish data protection legislation.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data in connection with customer relationships and marketing.

3. Purpose of Processing Personal Data

We process personal data for managing customer relationships and orders, communication, customer service, marketing, and business analytics.
Data may be disclosed to partners only for purposes that support the operation of the register and the provision of AniGen’s services.

Processing is based on lawful business operations and the GDPR. AniGen follows these principles:

  • Data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently.

  • Data is collected only for specific, explicit purposes.

  • The amount of data is kept to a minimum – only necessary data is stored.

  • We strive to keep data accurate and up to date.

Personal data is primarily collected directly from the customer when making a purchase, contacting customer service, or subscribing to a newsletter.

The register may contain the following information:

  • Company name and Business ID (if applicable)

  • Order and delivery information

  • Customer-related communication and feedback

  • Marketing consent or prohibition

  • IP address and other identifiers

  • Usage data collected via cookies

  • Contact details and identifiers obtained through social media

We only store the minimum data necessary to manage the customer relationship.

  • Google Analytics and other analytics tools

  • Social media services (e.g., Facebook, Instagram)

6. Disclosure and Transfer of Data

Personal data may be disclosed, within the limits permitted by law, to AniGen’s partners when necessary to provide services (e.g., payment processing or delivery).

We disclose data only in the following cases:

  • Payment services: Paytrail Oyj and Klarna Bank AB receive the data required for payment transactions via secure connections.

  • E-commerce platform: We use Shopify to manage orders and operate the online store. Shopify stores customer-provided data (name, address, contact details, order and payment information) securely on its servers, which may be located outside the EU. Shopify complies with GDPR and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

  • Marketing tools: For email marketing, we use only the customer’s name and email address.

  • Third-party services: Some services (e.g., Google, Meta/Facebook) may involve data transfers outside the EU/EEA. In such cases, we comply with applicable data protection requirements and minimize transferred data.

We never sell or rent personal data to third parties.

7. Data Security

Register data is stored in protected systems.
Electronically processed data is protected by firewalls, passwords, and other generally accepted security measures.
Manually maintained materials are stored in premises inaccessible to unauthorized persons.

Only employees and partners who need the data to perform their duties have access.
